Our Boat

A flyaround drone video of our boat from our 2019 Princess Louisa Inlet trip

Our chariot is a 2004 Meridian 408, an aft cabin powerboat/motoryacht. We’ve owned it since Christmas of 2016, and spent the ensuing 3 years boating extensively around the Puget Sound area, with bigger trips up into Canada.

We’ve made several bigger modifications for living and working on the Great Loop:

  • Removed the seat and footrest from the lower helm, replacing the seat with an A/C unit, and storing eBikes where the footrest used to be
  • Put elastic webbing over the inside area behind the windshield for soft goods storage
  • Replaced the starboard couch with a custom desk/office chair set for us to both work from
  • Added a WirEng GigaMIMO-Lite LTE antenna to the hardtop for cellular reception

Specs:

  • Length: 42′ LOA
  • Beam: 14’4″
  • Draft: 3’10”
  • Engines: 2x Cummins 6BTA 330hp Diamond diesels
  • Fuel: 330 gallons
  • Fresh Water: 75 gallons
  • Holding Tank: 51 gallons
